AFI, or A Fire Inside if you’ve been listening since the very early days, have marked their 30th year of being a band this year, and with it, have announced the date for their eleventh studio album, Bodies, to be released with Oregon-based metal and indie label, Rise Records. Multiple singles have been published on streaming platforms so far, such as the music video for “Looking Tragic”, which can be streamed below.
AFI is internationally recognized for their seventh studio album, Decemberunderground, which hit high peaks, landing the group at the number one position on the Billboard 200, where they consequently sat on the charts for 38 weeks after it’s release due to monstrous sales, and their hit single at the time, “Miss Murder”.
Being their latest record, Bodies, the group has explored many genres leading up to this point, creating an exciting atmosphere for long time fans and newcomer listeners who have yet to discover the emotional complexities and gothic overtones their music sets out, in regards to past, present, and even future. This new record sees lighter songs, delving into alternative rock, and almost pop punk, as seen in their music video for “Looking Tragic”, however there are more new singles to choose from, such as “Escape From Los Angeles”, which can be streamed below.
