The Smashing Pumpkins Drop Eleventh Studio Release, Cyr, With Sumerian Records

World renowned, genre bending masters, The Smashing Pumpkins, have released the eleventh studio album in their incredible myriad of a discography entitled Cyr. The record was released on 27 November 2020 with independent metal and hardcore label, Sumerian Records, the home of ranging groups from artists such as Asking Alexandria, Between The Buried And Me, I See Stars, Born of Osiris, and many more.

This massive 20 song record is the second part to their previous album, Shiny and Oh So Bright Vol. 1. Being self produced by vocalist Billy Corgan, it was set to have an even larger 35 song base, but had to be whittled down, according to drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, in a recent interview with Wall of Sound. You can stream the title track for the record, which features a futuristic and psychedelic music video, below.
