Deep into the country of Zimbabwe exists a nature conservation area for plants and wildlife called the Panda Masuie Forest Reserve, who took in six orphaned elephants. The reserve introduced these elephants to nine older counterparts, where the conservationalist experts helped the animals befriend and accept each other.
As covered by international news outlet, Reuters, the group of fifteen elephants will soon start their lives together in the wild. The outlet interviewed conservationalist Phillip Kuvawoga concerning the health and opportunities for the creatures, which can be streamed below.
Since being taken away from dire footing, Reuters noted the six elephants had been being taken care of at a local care facility in Zimbabwe. The video also showed a statistic sourced from the International Union for Conservation of Nature, stating “Africa’s savanna elephants have decreased by at least 60% over the last 50 years.”
