Long time punk rockers Rise Against have once again spoken out against the political machine with another record entitled Nowhere Generation, barraging authority and anyone in their way with the sounds of revolution since their start in 1999.
In promotion of the new album, the group released the title track “Nowhere Generation” dating back into March of 2021, in addition to a secondary music video for their single “The Numbers”, which can be streamed below.
As the music video opens, the band featured a quote from French West Indian political theorist and philosophic logician, Frantz Fanon, which reads:
“The people come to understand that wealth is not the fruit of labor, but the result of organized, protected robbery. Richer people are no longer respectable people; they are nothing more than flesh eating animals, jackals, and vultures, that wallow in the people’s blood.”
The band’s last six records have all received Billboard positions in various countries such as the United States, Germany, Australia, Canada, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. The release of Nowhere Generation marks the longest period of time the group has gone in between putting out records, inching up almost right into four year mark, since their release of their eighth studio record, Wolves, via Virgin Records.
